In addition to my calendar „Harzer Impressionen – Natur, Kultur, Geschichte„, I have now created a calendar for the British and American markets. It differs from the German version in pictures and in format.
The calendar will soon be available at least via Amazon.com and Walmart in the formats DIN A4 and DIN A3 double (see information here).sThe calendar will soon be available at least via Amazon.com and Walmart in the formats DIN A4 and DIN A3 double (see information here).
About the Calendar
The Harz is a low mountain range in northern Germany. The highest mountain in the range is the Brocken (1,142 m), which is surrounded by many myths, such as the witches‘ dance floor.
It is called as the ‚cradle of Germany‘ because it has played a central role in German history. Between 900 and 1300, the towns of Quedlinburg and Goslar in particular were important centres of power for German kings and emperors. And the wealth of raw materials, especially silver mining, financed many aspects of imperial policy.
In impressive pictures the calendar shows some of the many castles and palaces, as well as impressive rock formations such as the Devil’s Wall. It also shows the natural wild waters, as well as the man-made installations that made successful mining possible for centuries.
